AI Coding and Our Services to You

How We’re Using AI-Assisted Coding — And What It Means for You

There’s a lot of noise in the tech world right now about AI and coding. You’ve probably seen the headlines about “vibe coding” and wondered whether it’s something our developers are doing, and if so, what that means for the work we do together. We’ve spent the last several months testing various AI coding tools and models and developing a strategy that will benefit our development workflows and our clients. When we started, about a year ago, the AI coding output was less than reliable and, in fact, created more work and took more time than it saved. AI development moves fast though and the coding output as well as the reliability of the tools has increased exponentially since then.

We’re now using AI-assisted development tools, we’re doing it carefully, and we expect it to translate into real savings for you.

What We’re Actually Doing

We’ve been slowly and carefully integrating AI-assisted coding into our development workflow — both for new project work and for the smaller maintenance and feature updates that keep your systems running smoothly.

What this looks like in practice is that our developers use AI tools to accelerate the more routine parts of coding — drafting boilerplate, generating initial structures, handling repetitive logic — while teh developers focus their energy on creative solution engineering (something AI is still not great at), architecture decisions, quality review, and making sure everything we develop actually works the way it should. While the AI assists; our developers still very much control the outcome.

AI-generated code needs experienced eyes to validate it and prompt it efficiently and to pick up flaws in its processes where they happen (and they still do!). While AI now helps with the laborious process of writing code, every piece of work still goes through the developer’s same testing and sign-off process it always has.

Why We’re Confident in This Approach

AI coding tools have matured significantly in a short time, and we’ve been watching that progress closely and participated in ongoing testing. What felt experimental 12 months ago is now reliably useful for a meaningful portion of development work. We’ve been building confidence in these tools gradually, on real projects, and we know where they shine and where human judgment still needs to lead.

We’re also staying on top of how the tools continue to improve. The pace of development in this space is genuinely rapid, and we’re well-positioned to take advantage of further gains as they come.

What This Means for Your Projects

Here’s the part that’s most relevant to you. Based on what we’re seeing in our workflow right now, we’re currently absorbing productivity gains internally as we refine our processes and build confidence in our approach and change team structures.

We expect that by mid-2025, we’ll be in a position to pass on approximately 30% reductions in both project turnaround time and cost for many types of work. We’re not promising that figure for every project — complexity varies, and we’d rather under-promise and over-deliver — but it represents a realistic target based on where our productivity gains are trending.

For ongoing maintenance and feature work, you may start to see these benefits sooner.

Our Commitment to You

Our developers remain accountable for everything we deliver. We review, test, and stand behind our work the same way we always have. AI tools help us work faster; they don’t replace the expertise and judgment your projects depend on.

We’ll keep you informed as this evolves. If you have questions about how we’re approaching a specific project, just drop us an email or open a project related ticket in the Support Centre — we’re happy to walk you through our process.

And as the savings become real and consistent, we’ll reflect them in our pricing. That’s a straightforward commitment.
